What is SSC CGL?
The Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) examination is one of the most prestigious and competitive government recruitment exams in India. Conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), it recruits candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Organisations.

Educational Qualification
- Most posts: Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university in any discipline
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor's degree with Statistics as a subject
- Compiler: Bachelor's degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory subject
- All posts: Degree must be complete by the cutoff date mentioned in the notification
Age Limit
- 18–27 years: Assistant Section Officer, Sub-Inspector (CBI), Inspector (CBN)
- 18–30 years: Tax Assistant, Upper Division Clerk
- 20–30 years: Inspector of Income Tax, Inspector (Central Excise)
- Age relaxation: OBC — 3 years; SC/ST — 5 years; PwD — 10 years

Preparation Strategy for SSC CGL 2026
Tier 1 Strategy
